Carlos Lorenzo has been practicing law for over 6 years. He is a graduate from the University of Puerto Rico and from EMH Law School in Puerto Rico. He also completed his LLM (Master in Law) in Maritime Law and International Trade from the University of Southampton, England.

Carlos has worked as advisor and special aide to the Director of the Puerto Rico Trade Company, state agency in charge of all export related matters for the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico. During this period Mr. Lorenzo was in charge of handling aspect of the Puerto Rico Free Trade Zone as well as developed the commonwealth’s export plan.

Later on, Carlos worked as legal counselor and advisor to the Puerto Rico Police Academy and Police Department. He provided legal advice to the agency director as well as served acting general counsel for the agency.

He started his career in the Immigration field working, as an attorney with a non-profit organization in New York helping underprivileged families with their immigration needs. He was in charge of the filling of unlawful presence waivers as well as family immigrant visas and petitions before USCIS.

Currently Carlos focuses his practice in Immigration matters before the United States Immigration Court. He has successfully represented dozens of clients before the Immigration Court throughout the United States in Removal Defense cases, Asylum, Cancellation of Removal and Withholding of Removal. He also has represented clients before the Board of Immigration Appeals as well as several Federal Courts and has helped them with immigrant and non- immigrant matters with USCIS.

He has a real passion and drive in helping immigrants achieve their American Dream and will advocate fiercely in behalf of his clients to achieve their goals and dreams. Carlos speaks English and Spanish.
